Are we allowed to lie for the purpose of this contest? Because lying would really make it a lot easier to get a cool story. Anyways, I've decided that I'm going to stick to the truth, no matter how plain it might be:-

I live in Saudi Arabia, but am not Saudi. This makes it pretty much impossible to get a part-time job here, since there are several rules in place to cut down on unemployment among Saudis. Now, my family is fairly well off but my parents like teaching us the value of money. This means that I have not gotten any allowance, ever, in my life and in order to buy anything I have to justify its cost to my parents.

I generally have no complaints about how this works, but it makes any entertainment related items very hard to come across. I have a modded GameCube on which to play game, but thats just about it (and its 5 years old now). Furthermore, we don't celebrate Christmas, so that means no requests/gifts either.

Now that I have finished setting up my pathetically generic story, I might as well mention my reasons for wanting a G6 in the first place. First of all, as far as I know there are no rules about Digital Rights Management in place here. All video game shops openly sell pirated games, and I assume that they are not breaking any laws while doing so. This makes justifying the price of $100 (remember, shipping to Saudi Arabia is expenive ) just for playing games on a system that costs another $125 pretty hard. Although an original DS games costs about SR380 (~$100) and they don't make pirated copies (yet at least), my parents don't understand why it should cost more than a $1 PlayStation 2 game. My second reason for wanting this is, believe it or not, to read books on. There are NO public libraries in all of Saudi Arabia, and decent english books are pretty hard to come across. However, there are many good books distributed for free across the internet (legally) that I would love to read. From what I understand, the G6 has a pretty mean text reader (as do DSOrganize and Moonshell).

Since playing video games and reading books are pretty much the only things that I do for passing time (no movies or music, no theatres here either), a G6 Lite would be ideal for me. Furthermore, I'd be willing to write a comprehensive review and guide/FAQ for how to use one in order to help other people to understand how to use it .

In summary : I know my story and reasons are pretty generic and don't really stand out above the rest, but I can't change the truth. I won't write anything about how "I deserve to get this because..." since I only hope to get it. Whether I deserve to get it or not is entirely up to you guys.
